Profile
Adi Benarroch is a PACFA-registered psychotherapist specialising in the implementation of the creative arts as a reflective tool. She believes in the transformative power of creativity as a pathway to explore and process complex personal experiences, offering a non-verbal approach that engages body, mind, and emotionality.
She adopts a humanistic, strength-based, trauma informed and phenomenological approach, working collaboratively with clients to assist in discovering new ways of expression beyond the limits of language. Through the option of utilising and engaging in the creative process, she facilitates the unfolding of sensory and emotional insights, helping individuals gain awareness of internal experiences in a deeply embodied way.
Adi integrates talk-based counselling and psychotherapy therapeutic approaches with a variety of expressive modalities, such as drawing, writing, sculpting, drama, clay, sand play, jewellery making, embodiment and body-focused practice along with somatic exploration. This creative approach allows clients to connect with their inner world in different ways, empowering them to safely explore thoughts, feelings, and narratives through their own unique forms of expression. She sees creativity not just as an outlet, but as a means of self-discovery and personal mastery with the capacity to assist towards emotional awareness and integration.
Fluent in Spanish and drawing from my own experiences as a migrant, she embraces cultural diversity and welcome individuals of all ages and stages of life, including those under the neurodiverse umbrella and seeking LGBTQIA + support.
No prior experience in art-making is necessary, as it is all process-based work.
