At Selfigy, our counselling style is based on a transpersonal approach, which emphasises two aspects of a person:
Their state of consciousness, e.g. awake, dreaming, happy, depressed, anxious.
Their whole being, i.e. body, mind, spirit.
How does this relate to you? Who you are as a person is the state you are in right now. Relating to the state you are in right now is more useful than labelling you as depressed or anxious or happy, because you are not always depressed or anxious or happy. If where you are right now is not where you wish to be, we can work together to find a better way of being, a way that is self-fulfilling and self-sustaining.
Seeking answers is the first and most important step towards change. If you are committed to change, you can be helped to change. The only limitations are the ones within you.
